ONE YEAR OF BLUEBEAT LOUNGE!


We have reached the one year milestone for Bluebeat Lounge! What an excellent year 2003 was, with more than 95 acts performing over 51 shows. When we began Bluebeat Lounge, our hopes were high. Now a full year into the series, our hopes have been far surpassed by what has actually happened.


Special thanks to John Pantle, Brian Smith and everyone else at Knitting Factory for being so cool and for their support of Bluebeat Lounge. Thanks to Jason Sirota (DJ Lawless) and all the other DJs for making the time between sets as entertaining and enjoyable as the performances themselves. Many many thanks to all the amazing acts who have shared their music with us at Bluebeat Lounge.


Above all, thanks to everyone who has come out to Bluebeat Lounge and shared in the good times. A very special thanks to all the Bluebeat Lounge regulars who have come out again and again and helped create a real sense of scene and a true family vibe for the series. Thanks also to Katie Hurley for all her help and for developing a fine line of stylish Bluebeat Lounge merchandise. Bluebeat Lounge could not have happened without all of you.
